Has Smalls talked in depth about the shows cancellation?

Just curious if Adult Swim has ever said WHY they canceled it. I would assume it would have to be a financial reason, but i can't imagine this show failing bad enough to not even gift it a mini-series to finish the storyline. Such a *beep* thing to do.

And has the creator of the show revealed anywhere what his plan was for the story? The BRILLIANT HBO show Carnivale also suffered a criminal early cancelation, but the creator did some very in depth interviews where he outlined where he was going to take the show and the sort of things we could have expected. Getting closure like that is *beep* HUGE.

Has Smalls just moved on and doesn't care enough to fill us fans in on what the hell was goin on with Selacius and company and what we could have expected, or is he still holding out some hope of continuing it someplace someday? Has he spoke of it at all outside of the super short, "adult swim canceled... it's over" statements i come across?

Small has plenty of obstacles to overcome. First of all Adult Swim owns the names "Metalocalypse" and "Dethklok" so he can't even use them, and they refuse to let go of that ownership. In fact he's recording a new Dethklok album but has to change the band's name for it. Besides, if he wants to make new episodes he needs someone to air them and financial backing, but that's a moot point because, like I said, Adult Swim won't make new episodes and won't let go of the copyright.

That brings us back to the question of, "why has he not told fans what WOULD have happened?"

If there's no chance of it ever coming back, he really should give some interview or something where he clues us all in on where the story would have gone. It sucks being left in the dark and seemingly right as the show was really taking off and getting ready to blow its load on all the weird, cryptic *beep* and mythos.

Yes. He did an interview. There's a link to it in a thread on this very page of this very forum.

Yup. He said he had the episodes and he had the music and everything, he even wanted to buy the rights to the show so he could shop it somewhere else, and Adult Swim for whatever reason just stonewalled him and wants the show dead. He's basically moved on, there's nothing more he can do.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

Is Adult Swim even a show that owns rights? I thought "adult swim" was just a marketing name for the late night shows aired on the Cartoon Network.

Just like "CBS Late Night" isn't really a show. It's simply a marketing thing so CBS can package its Colbert Show followed by the Late Late Show.

adult swim sucks for holding the show hostage. I want to see more.
