It reminded me a lot of "Afternoon Delight" in McKay's earlier movie Anchorman, except instead of it happening out of nowhere and afterward they go back to reality like nothing happened, it's clearly something they've practiced incessantly and they almost wreck the car doing it. Very very funny scene. I love that with the exception of Kathyrn Hahn's character, who doesn't give a sh^t, they're all genuinely great singers. The son was particularly amazing.

Adam Scott is the highlight for me, he's great in this movie which overall I'm not a huge fan of, admittedly. But Scott in the car singing scene..."Okay, I'm gonna save it with this solo:

I'm Derek,
And I can sing hiiiiigh like thiiiiis!
And I can sing hiiiiigh!" 

Actually, Alice wasn't "flat"; it was the kids' background "ahhhh's" that were off at that point.

But the boy definitely had a great voice.
