When he asked that, to me, that was a hint she was still alive LOL. If she was really dead, he would've just taken a second to measure her, isn't that what funeral directors do? But he obviously couldn't measure her because she was sitting down. LOL
Also, remember he knew all their favorite flowers at the funeral.
shareOh-the-other-hand if you are a fictional funeral director that can actually talk to the dead you might just ask them their height. Asking or not asking her doesn't prove anything either way.
