The MOVIE was GOOD!

Went to a premiere of this at the Newport Becah Film Festival not having a damn clue what this would be about....and walked away loving it as well as the stars, both on screen and off.

Took my son to see this movie with alot of his favorite skaters in it, and right when we get there they are out with the crowd taking pictures, signing autographs. Really nice people. Especially P.Rod and Terry Kennedy. Well after meeting these folks...we step inside , movie plays and well all these pros are in it , which usually would mean a disaster of a movie but not in this case.

Sure these guys are skaters with not much acting experience, of course except for Rob and a few whove had their shows, but they did great in this movie, plenty skateboard action wrapped up in a good story. Aside from that the movie was very well edited with a good score.

Got a little more insight after the movie with a good Q & A and I definately see where this was coming from and why it took them so long to complete it.

So yeah thats my take, check it out when you guys can , worth your hour and a half.

um, Rob IS a skater... unless you mean another Rob that's in the movie?

BTW did that at least mention when it's going to be released to the public at the festival???

reply

Yeah I know sorry fixed my post...what I meant was these guys are skaters with not much acting experience except for Rob who has had much.

Anyhow , no they didnt give any specific date, but Im sure it wont be too much longer...after all the movie has been 4 years in production. I believe it is ready for release!

Edit: Just found out movie will have a June 12th limited release!

Released in the Bay Area June 12th as planned, at one theater in San Francisco and one in the East Bay.

Yeah I live on the East Coast & the movie just opened in NYC today. Saw it earlier and was impressed (meaning: I expected it to be bad after seeing the trailer but was happily proven wrong). I actually want to see it again.

Just didn't understand why the hell Ryan Dunn had a skateboard. He's not a skater at all... but he was great comic relief.

This movie was *beep* stupid.
