A new low for Steve Martin and especially John Cleese

Before I begin I didn't see this movie, so you can trash me for that. However, I did see the trailer and thought to myself that this movie looked so bad that no adult in their right mind would pay money for this garbage.

It's often been said that Hollywood is running out of ideas for movies so the easiest option is simply to make a remake. That's okay but if you are going to make a remake you should have a good reason and not simply to try and make money. For me, I think this was purely to make money for the studio.

It's a shame that Steve Martin has decided that in his later career will be remembered for the bad remakes that he has decided to put his name to. I read that he has laughed off critic's reviews of this movie but even he privately must be thinking that his is a bad movie.

As I watched the trailers for this movie I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw John Cleese was in this movie. I have a lot of respect for John Cleese but that has been tarnished by him agreeing to a role in this movie.

I grew up watching Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther movies and listening to the audio recordings of The Goons where he performed with Harry Secombe, Michael bentine and the late great Spike Milligan.

It is regarded that there would be no Monty Python without the influence of The Goons. So it is with great sadness to see John Cleese in a role which was originally opposite one of the people who was the inspiration to his success with the Monty Python team. I honestly thought John Cleese had more integrity as I can remember him arguing with a member of the church over the Life of Brian.

It's only my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion about these new Pink Panther movies. I would just like to ask the studios and everyone involved to stop making these movies because they are not good. And judging from the box office take people are voicing this with their feet.
