DVD + Original

Is there a DVD available for this title?

Also, a question to anyone here who has seen the Dutch original: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0142772

How does this remake compare?

RIP Ian....

I have both DVD's but I prefer the Dutch version, as it is more realistic and therefore more believable.
But I read in a review of an Australian some of the same reasons why he/she likes Unfinished Skies as why I like the Dutch version. So, probably they both are good movies.
Unfinished Sky tries to explain the story with i.m.o. unnescesary characters and scenes. The original is more about the chemistry between two lonely people who slowly grow together and the beauty of the Oost-Groningen landscape.
I noticed also the Dutch version contains more humour.

However, I live in the same area where the Dutch version is filmed, so my opinion might be somewhat biased.

Hi JukeBox-Bill,

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know of a site that sells the DVD of the Dutch version and allows shipping to Sweden?

The DVD you have, is it an official release or a bootleg?

The DVD is not anymore available in the regular shops. I have mine, new and original, recently bought from a Dutch marketplace site like eBay, but most of them are second hand.
You do realise that the DVD is Dutch spoken only? There are no second language or subtitles.

reply

OK, I was hoping it would have English subtitles....
