Questions (spoilers)

1. John was heating up something that looked like spaghetti (or some variation of it) in a pot. He put some in a bowl with a ton of salt and then begrdugingly grabbed another bowl? Was that for Elvis?

2. Why was John so angry at Dari? I know he wasn't happy about a stranger and foreigner in his house, but why let her stay and be so hateful?

3. Why was he so care-free about her being out during the day (ie. showing her how to kick the football, drive the tractor, etc.) when he knew people were looking for her?

4. I'm not sure how things work in Australia, but the cop that stopped them on the sidewalk would have asked for identification and ran the plates of the vehicles. Surely, that would have led them the bad guys to the girl.

5. Why did she not recognize the cop that came to the house and accident scene? I understand that she could have blocked him out, but it seems that she would have recognized his walk, face, scent, something in the previous encounters.
