I enjoyed it.The good guys are good,and it's easy to care about them.The bad guys are bad,and I'm glad when they get their due.
So,the direction is not really polished smooth.Doesn't matter.I felt the story was told well enough.Beats the hell out of anything I've seen from several high profile directors.
Might've been better one way,or another,but I would say Peter Duncan can be proud of it. Anything I might criticize was probably unavoidable,due to budget issues.Both time,and money.The story really has alot of elements to it,to cover in an hour and a half.
I'd recommend it anyone,except kids.

The scene in which John is trying to find some good music on the radio, finally finds a song he really likes, and turns and asks her to dance, is straight out of WITNESS. And McInnes plays the scene exactly as Harrison Ford did in Witness. Maybe this homage, if that's what it was, is because Peter Weir, an Australian, directed WITNESS.
