Anyone else mad how Ted just pissed it all away?

Seriously, How the hell do you spend 100,000 dollars in six months?

Some people count sheep. Doesn't work with AlwaysCool, just gets him excited.

I'm outraged; but not because Ted spent the money irresponsibly. After all, how could you possibly expect someone with his lack of experience to responsibly spend any sum of money greater than $1000, let alone $100,000. The filmmakers might as well have chosen a child, who has no concept of the value of money. It's pretty much the first rule about transitioning homeless people into society: Giving someone who is used to living on $50 a week even a $300 first paycheck is way too much, way too fast. I find the entire premise of this film quite sickening. As big of a problem as homelessness is in this country (and worldwide) I find it incredibly insensitive and exploitative on the part of the filmmakers. The film only reinforces all the negative ideas about homeless people and homelessness in general. I am just horrified. Clearly, no one involved in the making of this film had any real interest in Ted or his well-being. They should be ashamed.

So they give a bum 100k and he's been exploited, eh?
Are you one of those people that thinks violent criminals are the real victims in society?

I wouldn't-say that He was necessarily "lazy" , but having-been in a Similar Situation , I think that I could've lived quite-comfortably , for 5 Years , with an "Extra" $100K

reply

No, it's exactly what I would expect.

He should have just invested that money with Bernie Madoff. He would've received a better return.
