Personally, I hope this does better than the Giamatti flick..

Nothing against Paul Giamatti, I love the guy, but actually it's more cause I'm for Bill Pullman. This is a great actor and this kind of a project will really boost him, whereas Giamatti has come to a comfortable place of success (most deserved as well). Plus, I think the other one being more "big-budget" is liable to do the whole "sci-fi" thing and spend dollars on SFX that will ruin the movie.
