Did we all watch the same film?

I managed to stagger through to the end,but god knows how,or why! Mostly bad acting, mostly bad story and most definately bad ending....and that demon,pffft...a 10 foot skull in a bin bag. Absolute pants!

reply

I thought it was worth watching just for the end...if the rest of the film had been as good it would have been a decent watch.

reply

No, I don't think the demon was wearing any pants. They have a hard time with zippers, as I hear it.

The gene pool could use a little chlorine......

Same here. I was just going to write, what a horirble movie then the scene changed and it became very good.

But only 20 minutes were good, the rest sucked.

The ending made the movie make sense. Honestly, throughout the movie all im thinking of is how stupid this sounds and how bad a plan this is. How unthought out this is. Anyone who takes a suspected killer to the middle of no wear to study them should be killed and hacked up for being so stupid. I was surprised and relieved by the ending. It made sense of the over stereotypical characters.

I"m not sure if anything from the point of them entering the asylum is real.
When they first get their, they check out the chair, we know the chair doesn't exist, so we have to assume that that scene was in his head. We can also assume thta they never spent the night in the place, it was still daylight outside, which makes me think it was just a day trip (which makes a lot more sense than taking a suspected serial killer out for an overnight sleepover).

reply

Was he a suspected serial killer? He only killed one person didnt he? By the time they took him out I mean.

Have a good time, all the time...

I agree with meijermap. The movie was quite bad, and I hated many things about it (especially the damned voice over), but the ending actually worked somehow... no one could be more surprised by my reaction than I was. I typically hate endings where the majority of the movie never happened, and/or the protagonist was the insane killer the whole time, but for some reason it just felt right in this movie. Maybe that's because the set-up is so stupid otherwise (taking an insane killer out to the place where he murdered his girlfriend?!), or maybe because the scene where you come back to reality is so messed-up and chaotic. Just something about it made it great.

I'd say 3.5/10, with the ending adding at least a whole point of that.

Absolute garbage! I get it - the director wanted to give an original movie made from parts of low budget "movies". I watched until that cheap monster appeared and that was the moment i said to myself "ENOUGH with this cr*p. How can i watch a movie so stupid!!".
Oh and that old man "Gandalf" lmao - what a bad bad acting!

reply

I think I must be the only one who really liked the demon.
Thought it came off as a cool monster.

And the ending was pretty sweet.

"When There Is No More Room In Hell, The Dead, Will Walk The Earth."

reply

I liked this film,it was damn sight more memorable than a lot of the american crap of late.

Listen! This ain`t another exploding patient you can sweep under your rug!

reply

we are at the end credits and still waiting for this good part everyone is talking about
this is the sh!ttest piece of sh!t i've ever watched, especially the acting its a better comedy than a horror

reply

I thought the movie was boring. I fell asleep, and awoke to the murder scenes. It was okay. As for the end I did not get it at all. Was he actually hallucininating in the end?

reply

I agree this is a load of tripe you should of figured out at the start of the movie it was all in his head there was flashbacks. The monster was stupid and the ending was just plain dumb. Right we know hes going to kill everyone but whats the deal with his dead girlfriend at the end talking backwards. Dumb movie go and watch hellraiser if you want to watch something like hellraiser because this did not even come close.

reply

The demon was actually Hell's janitor and it didn't do much of a job scrubbing the floors.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

reply

I fell asleep 45 minutes into dis steamin' turd. I woke up to see the ending. Rolled my eyes then cursed the film.

Original? This was like Session 9 mixed in with some Leviathan-esque Hellraiser monster. The twist was cliched. If I didn't know any better - I'd say I was watching an American film. It certainly strived to be one of our pieces of dung.

If you slept you didnt see it... eh eh *elbow nudge* eh you silly goose XD

reply

The film, being a commentary on horror films in general, was supposed to be silly, up until the ending scenes. The monster was supposed to look stupid, like a "10 foot skull in a bin bag" as you put it.
We watch these gory films and B-movies and are totally used to seeing gory rubbish thrust in our faces, the end was almost 'this is what insanity is really like'.
Maybe it's because I'm British but i just loved this film, warts and all.
