I need help defeating The Kingpin in the game. He is soooooooo hard to beat! I keep doging attacks & counterattacking, but somehow he gets the best of me. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do to beat him? Any specific power combo attack that drains his life bar quicker? Anything?! Please help!
BTW, I have the PS3 version.
He's pretty easy. Basically, it's just dodge, counter-attack, dodge, counter attack and so on. But it's been a while since I beat him so I can't remember much.
Use rage when you can, as well, because he isn't invincible to that.
joel pretty much stated it. it's all about the dodging and hitting at the right time. Just NEVER let him breathe, dodge like hell, and whenever you get rage- USE IT! But don't waste it on one damn combo, cuz I made that mistake and nothing happened. when you have rage, just think of it as extra power that you can hurt him with.
So all in all, the only time you should stop pressing the attack and dodge buttons is when you activate your rage.
oh and another hint, though you probably beat him by now i'd hope: you should always be on offense, meaning just hit him all the time and dodge- so when you don't have rage and you are trying to build it (cuz you won't do jack sh!t to him without rage), hit your quick attack button. Once you have rage, then pummel him with the strong attack button. that's my only advice on better combos

this always worked for me. Jump up on the ceiling. Tap RAGE until it fills up. activate it. then go down there and beat him up. then keep repeating, unless you need to change it up a litte.

Stay on the cealing and build fury then once up jump into the air and pull him up with you he cant defend himself in the air
shareThat's so ANNOYING! I just beat him, then I had to fight more gang members and guess what happened! I had to fight him again and there was a glitch and he's stuck on the celing! I have to start all over again. I feel like eating some infants, or raping some old ladies. Or I feel the way Spiderman does when you press the RB button! ARRGGHHHH!

Since we're on the topic of King Pin, I was wondering, do you get to fight him on the Wii version? My parents recently bought a Wii for my family for Christmas and I was thinking of getting this. But even if it's just on one of the others I'd still buy it.

I HATED THAT LEVEL! However I beat him in the end, rage mode is the key, when in rage mode never use X, always use Y, attack him front-then-back and always have LB held down

I never attacked him at all. I have the PC version, and it seems like he blocked every *beep* attack. So, I would just stand there until he swung at me, I'd dodge(spider sense), and then counter-attack.
Anytime I tried to hit him he just easily blocked and then would sometimes get a shot in at me.
Dodge then block.
Did anyone else notice that near the end of the second round with the Kingpin he keeps trying to grab you but the icon doesn't flash to warn you? I didn't know if this was a glitch or just to make it more challenging. Luckily, even though he can dodge the attacks of someone with the propotionate speed of a spider, he telegraphs his moves very obviously so I still had no problem dodging.
Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist.
