Who cares??! (SPOILERS)

I need to seriously stop watching horror movies. A great majority of them are about things that I find to be ludicrous... It's a guilty pleasure. But I need to stop.

Anyway, this movie was a load of bullshit. Once Ellie came back to life the movie lost what little it had going for it. I thought they'd explain why the souls of people come back, but no questions that you have end up getting resolved, and at the end, you're like ... "Who freakin' cares?!"

They come back, because the ground IS SOUR!!!

The soil of man's heart is stonier.

Well, the book wasn’t any better.

Believe me.

Horror is what it is.

And sometime what it is...SUCKS, is all.

This film wasn’t great, but I am unclear what you wanted.

A detailed motivation for an evil revenant?

@ BrunoAnthony

You are right. I should lower my expectations significantly when watching horror fare. Some SEMBLANCE of motivation would have been nice. But that's asking too much, I suppose.

They probably realized that any idea they came up with wouldn't have been as appealing as our individual imaginations.

I always liked the simple idea that it was a Native American burial ground that was an experiment. They realized it was bad news and abandoned it. Centuries later kids started burying their dead pets killed by the increased amount of trucks coming through and set up a little cemetery. One kid decides to go a bit further into the woods and discovers the burial ground where he buries his pet.

I'm not sure the writers could top anything so simple. But they can throw in potential what-ifs that maybe there's more to it. Overall they leave it to the audience.

i find it hard to watch Horror movies made after 2006 with few exceptions but can easily watch horror movies made before then with some exceptions like low low budget like the I spit on your grave movies and can't watch the coffin Joe movies
