So what was with the black dude? And who inhabit the dead folks?

Wtf was all that about with the black guy, Pascal or something was his name? What was the purpose of all that? Both the Dad and Mom AND Son had all kinds of crazy ass visions. It obviously didn't have anything to do with the location because the mom was having visions at her old home about her dead sister, and her son also saw the black guy? How? Huh? Why?

When they get brought back from the dead, are they someone else? Like demons inhabiting human and/or animal bodies?

This is the reason I normally stay away from horror movies. Mostly because in the end it just doesn't make sense. Same with Hereditary. At the end of that I was like "What the hell did I just watch?"

And also depressing endings. Like the end of this movie. Okay, so the whole family dies. Yay.

Pascow was a ghost I guess you could say also an angel. He wanted to return and try and warn Louis to stay way from the cursed burial ground. It appears Louis would only see him in dreams although he was not really dreaming but actually walking outside. I believe that little boy was kind of psychic and that's why pascow was trying to communicate to him. As far as the family starting to experience strange stuff I noticed the mom started seeing things when the cat was brought back. Basically breaking that barrier between the living and the dead manifested the evil going on. Yeah it was kind of confusing why the mom kind of experienced stuff while out of the house
I explain it because of the evil currently happening. At that point not only was the cat brought back but Louis was in the process of burying his daughter in the ground too. Not as far as when the people come back from the dead here is my opinion and what I like to believe. I don't believe it is something else coming back inside the bodies by just reanimating them. It's not as if the soulds of the people are no longer inside and something else entirely is inhabiting the bodies. I believe it's the brains or souls of the people that came back and but changed as if they are now completely full of hate and anger bent on destruction. And while it's the brains or souls of the people it's clear that when they come back they have some new but evil abilities. They seem to know people's secrets and thoughts. For example throttle girl new about her mom's sick sister and she also k we about juds wife. She used this information in a hateful way to torture them. Also it's clear that when the people come back they have a unusual strength as we saw the little girl not only drag her mom to the burial ground but also fight off her dad. So it's clear that while I believe it's the souls of the people that come back in their bodies they have been changed. The reason for this I believe is that when they are put in the cursed gro

When they are put in the cursed ground before they come back to life their soul goes to a hell like place that changes them. The little girl tells her mom she went somewhere bad and that her mom will go their too.

Ah, makes sense. That's what I was thinking too. Only reason I thought maybe it was a complete demon from hell and no longer the girl or cat, was because her mom said to her "Youre not my daughter" "My daughter is dead"
