so jud visits louis who's hiding zombie ellie. jud goes back home and suddenly ellie is in his house?! did i miss something?

ok, i just checked the movie again and can answer the question myself: i didn't miss something - it is a MAJOR PLOT HOLE.
apparently, ellie "beamed" herself to jud's house.

She ran over, I guess. Houses weren't that far apart. He spent enough time before she attacks him to believe that. Not sure if he left a backdoor unlocked or how to explain that exactly, but it's not like he saw her in the window and turned around and she was there.

She's very fast and sneaky.

Louis is a f up and didn't keep a very good watch over her.
