Took to long

To give us what we really wanted to see in the movie then when they give it to us it’s like the last 15 minutes -_-

3/5 it needed to be 2 hours exactly

Spoilers somewhat—

When the daughter got brought back to life everything went way to fast so fast that it seemed like the wife went alll the way to Boston the same day and came back the morning after. I would have like to learn exactly who was in the daughter body because she had the memory of what happened so was it somewhat the daughter but possessed or a demon.

Also the kid who died earlier why was he haunting him n warning him.

I agree, once Ellie came back to life the movie starting rushing.

Pascow felt like an afterthought in the remake. He was just there....

i felt the same the ending third acted felt rushed

reply

Yeah have to agree with you guys, I feel like given the large amount of source material this movie could have even gone 2.5 hours

reply

Not to be that guy, but the book is the exact same, it's about 400 pages long and stuff only ramps up in the last 10 pages.

It was like a ton of build up and then once you get to the payoff, it's over and done so quick, you're like Whaaaaaa?

I'm not a huge fan of the novel, I think it would have worked better as a novella

Considering the movie was already longer then most horror movies they could have got it to 2 hours or 2 hours and 20 minutes , because it did good when it came to pacing just yes after Ellie came back to life everything went way to fast.
