And the mother buries him and brings him back at the end, after knowing they switched the daughter and son around with the daughter dying i know thats what they're gonna do. Cause that'll make this so original and different and catch so many people off guard wont it? just switching up the deaths from the original.

it's actually correct. the father dies and gets buried by the mother. except that the mother is already a zombie when she buries him. the punchline is that the little boy gage is the final survivor this time.

All the main characters die. Even Gage (who is alive in the car) at the tail end is doomed.

You obviously didn't stick around for the end credits scene. Gage hot wires the car and guns it, running over his reanimated family and kills them again. The kid is precocious as all git out.
