So why would i watch this? Just give me the Simpsons Tree House Zombie episode

The obvious answer is “Don’t watch it,” but then the OP wouldn’t get him bitty bit of, you know, attention, which him perceives as affirmation, instead of the contempt and scorn that it is.

Who's to say? I consider Pet Sematary among King's weakest efforts of that era, and the '80s film was pretty crappy. I doubt I'll see this new one, but if I do I hope it's an improvement!

It was a pretty solid horror movie and Fred Gwynne gave a great performance as the long time Mainer.

I don't think it sucked but I've seen it twice and have no desire to see it again. The only great thing about the original was Herman Munster.

Disagree. I don't think it would make my top ten list of King adaptations for movies, but it would definitely be in the 'teens. It was cast correctly (Fred Gwynne was excellent), stayed true to the book, and was well-directed.

It was not great. But isn't that part of a new version being made? It's a different movie. Maybe you'll like this one better.
