A very bad movie making an offensive joke about a good movie?

I mean the moment when is seen Twilight on the plane, Dracula says something like "this is how they represent us now".

Really? You can make a joke like that only if your movie could be a film you will not forget in the next 10 years. No one will remember Hotel Transylvania this summer, or in two months.

All that this joke tells me is that the film is not a film for children, but a movie for immature people, Whether adult or young.

I agree, this movie was for immature people unlike the mile long lines of mature people like me who hold twilight near and dear to our hearts - screaming and wearing team edward/jacob t-shirts, and saying we love edward "because he's perfect".

Love or hate twilight, everyone HAS to admit that the characters (especially Bella) are all perfect representations of maturity, which is why we all connect so well with at least one of them. Bella for deciding who she wants to be with right away and not stringing people along or becoming suicidal/reckless/stupid when dumped; Edward for being 100something years old and dating the mature and not pathetically co-dependent Bella; and Jacob for maturely respecting Bella's wishes and leaving her alone and totally taking the hint like us adults do.

We should all be so lucky to take a page from stephanie meyers.

Sarcasm?

I was not talking about the characters of any of both movies, learn to read.

So, according to you, a movie with some immature characters is a bad movie? XD You have demolished half cinema history.

Chaplin, Marnie, the protagonists of Blue Velvet and thousands of good movies with immature characters.

Getting into an argument with a fanboy is a waste of time, but I will say this. It's perfectly justified in satirizing Twilight's bastardization of the entire concept of vampires. I rejoice in the film having taken your money.

how exactly was what he said in any way offensive? How is it offensive to critisize Twilight?

It's a movie with Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg who much maturity were you expecting it to have? It took you that long to realize it was an immature movie? It's the end of the movie of F's sake.

And why is it they are only ALLOWED to make fun of Twilight if they the film would be remembered for years to come? That sentence makes no sense. "You're not allowed to make fun of Twilight cause it made more money than you" And why exactly did it make so much money? Because tweens are stupid and will spend money on anything if you put a cute guy in it(or in this case 2 cute guys).

I thought it was the best joke of the movie, and why? Because I remember when vampires were HORROR MOVIE CREATURES who you were supposed to be afraid of. Now, thanks to that God-awful series, Vampies are nothing more than whiny emo "vegetarians" who you're only afraid that they will try to date your daughter not kill you. That's the point of the joke, we've gone from "ohh, that's scary and cool" to "Oh,so you sparkle and you wanna marry my 17 year old daughter." Vampires used to be an R rated subject matter, not something appropriate for teeny-boppers. Do you think Bela Lugosi or Bram Stoker ever imagined that one day stupid girls would wear "I heart Edward" shirts? No because it's stupid and not supposed to be appropriate for them. But now all Vampire movies have to be unscary and appropriate for you little girls, it sucks.

And this is my favorite:

"All that this joke tells me is that the film is not a film for children, but a movie for immature people, Whether adult or young"

THE ABSOLUTE SAME EXACT THING CAN AND SHOULD BE SAID ABOUT YOUR PRECIOUS TWILIGHT SERIES. It's about vampires, that's not a kid's subject yet alot of Twilight's fans are kids. And if you spent a dime on a book or movie about a sparkling 100 year old vampire statutory raping a 17 year old girl while she strings along an emo-b**** werewolf then I find you quite immature. whether adult or young. Twilight is the worst thing to happen to vampire movies since Dracula 2000 and the worst thing to happen to movies, possibly ever.
