Pee Wees bicycle does make a cameo

Only for a second really, when Pee Wee is showing off his miniature town. When he shows the library there are several mini bikes parked out front, one of them is unmistakably the Big Adventure bike with the yellow lions head and rear fin clearly visible.

I missed that. I don't know how the hell you saw that.

Very nice catch! I just went back to confirm and it's true, it is unmistakable.

I just re-watched it (I have it paused at the moment mentioned) and despite what looks like a fin and something colored yellow, the bike referred to looks nothing like the bike from the first movie.

How many bikes have you seen with fins? I have never seen one in my life aside from the movie. I feel that the fin is almost a defining feature of Pee-wee's bike.

They obviously didn't make the trick pull-out handlebar grip or the brass pee-wee herman rear license plate that the original bike had, but it's as close as it can be with only being about 1/4" tall.

It's clearly supposed to represent the PWBA bike - besides the whitewall tires, fin, and yellow lion-head speaker on the front, it even has the hard shell saddle bags on the back of the bike. C'mon, how many bicycles do you see on a regular basis with all of those features?

It's at 18:52 if anyone wants to check out the scene in question.

They did pass up a perfect PWBA bike cameo opportunity when Pee-Wee walks by the row of bikes in front of the library just before getting the scuba cop book from Emily.
