Season 3
Third Season
Story Editor Brandon Auman says work for a third season is being talked about in December 2011 and specifically introducing Wolverine to the series if the third season is confirmed.[17]
On May 25th 2012, James Harvey reported from Nicktoons that the 2012 finale will be a specific season end, and not a series end. "The network is slated to air new episodes of Iron Man: Armored Adventures weekly through the summer, up to the final episodes of the second season."[18] Nicktoons has not confirmed when such third season will be released such as tie-in for the 2013 Iron Man 3 live-action movie or 2014. No major plotline of such third season has been revealed.
Despite reports from James Harvey (first on June 20th 2012[19] and later on July 6th 2012.[20]) that the series was cancelled and Brandon Auman stating in an interview with Harvey "I wish we would have gotten a third season because it would be great to have the three of them go on more missions together. But at least we did get 52 episodes, which ain't bad!"[21], Nicktoons announced in its promo for "Makluan Invasion Part 2: Unite!" on the official site that the 2012 finale is a specific season finale.[22] after these earlier reports suggesting that Nicktoons was still in negotiations with Marvel/Disney to continue the series during these reports suggesting the show's cancellation.
Nicktoons confirmed this season specific ending on July 18th 2012 where the later television broadcast promo for "Makluan Invasion Part 2" with the banner "SEASON FINALE" over the hands of the assembled heroes.
