Is it true you have to kill Lambrt?

Is it true you kill Sam's boss and why?

*Spoiler* (PS3 version)
You don't have to, you can kill Washington instead, but it is being observed by the security cameras and you'll blow your cover, wich means you'll have to fight or avoid every JBA member in the compound. Doens't seem to matter where you aim on him, I shot him in the knee and he still went down.

then why is Lambrt held captued

It explains that he was caught snooping around the compound.

On the Xbox (last Gen) he was an undercover arms dealer to the JBA, that's how they explain Sam being able to use his old weapons and gear. I thought this was better than how they did it on the 360 PS3 version, it made more sense to the story and was a more plausible reason for Lambert to be captured and interogated.

does it show him getting cought or no?

Bond James Bond

reply

No. They just say there is a bunch of swat guys outside the compound, then they lead you to the interogation room and say he was cought snooping around for someone. That was pretty lame, going through all the trouble of infiltrating them, then this rocket scientist get himself caught in the courtyard. He deserved to get shot IMO.

but if you do kill him then what?

reply

You dion't blow your cover, though it don't make much difference once you enter the restricted area

reply

I never killed him, I can't bring myself to do it, it's more fun if you kill Jamie anyway because then you can go around the compound and take out the terrorists one by one. I like to do it up close and personal with the knife, or set up distraction traps and as a guy walks by you do the grab from when you are behind a corner, the chop to the throat and the grab or the take down to submission hold, so bad ass.

He's not even dead, he's just severely injured. After you shoot him, he tells you to just go on with the mission and than Sam says he'll be back or something. And since the swat eventually does infiltrate the place, it's possible he's still alive...

Are you a dumbass?

In the gamecube version you don't get the option to kill Jamie. You find a computer and are required to leak information onto it, and you have to choose which set of info to upload. You can either upload info that confirms Lambert's cover (as an arms dealer), which saves Lambert's life, or upload info that confirms Lambert's identity (as an NSA agent), which results in his death, but also results in all the suspicious events during Sam's time undercover fall on Lambert, and Sam is absolved of any suspicion.

On a side note, I think it's bizarre that they made a different version for each console. Gamefaqs.com STILL doesn't have a FAQ for the Gamecube version. I remember when I first looked through the FAQs that it had, and I thought to myself "huh? There's no 3rd JBA mission!" Then I learned that each consule has a different version, which I think is ludicrous. Then again, I might not be saying that if Gamefaqs had a FAQ for Gamecube.

I aplligize for asking all the qestions in the game just does it feel confusing how Double Agent and Convintion link? Just wondering how it all links from XBox/PS3/PSP then back to X box i mean not the system i mean the timeline of how can it all connect?

In Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory Sam was workign for Third Echlon a covert group of the NSA. This was from year 2004 to 2007 I think. Then in Double agent he goes undercover in 2008. Then in Conviction he is on the run.

Essentials is set between DA and Conviction and you play flashbacks to Sam's Navy Seal days before the first Splinter Cell game.

Hope this helps.

It depends on the JBA vs NSA meter, havent' played in a while but if you be good and your meter is in the NSA region then you will get an ending aboard a boat which you kill Moss.

Never played the JBA ending but know it is different. They dont' really lead into conviction but you are def on the run.
