When Malena was reading a newspaper article to her mother on the phone, it talked about Leonardi, the guy killed 20 years ago, as if he was still living. Am I right on that?

If so, then the past was changed and those people were still supposed to be living in 2001. Then, why were their gosts standing around at the end?

I guess I missed something. Would appreciate it if someone could clear it up for me. Thanks!

As I recall, she was talking to her mother about the family, to see what she would say. Maybe the mother didnt know anything about the family or maybe she did, when the father gave her the baby (Pablo). They werent able to save the family but it seems they found peace.
