Location - Spain or Argentina??

Just read the review that states that the film was shot in Madrid in Spain - but in the film they mention Argentina! does somebody know something in this regard??

It's strange. I don`t know what movie saw the reviewer from states because the city showed in the film is clearly Buenos Aires (the real Buenos Aires, not Madrid disguissed as B.A.). And the rest of the film is located on Tierra del Fuego ans Patagonia, Argentina.
Buenos Aires could remind Madrid in some aspects, but the city filmed in "Aparecidos" is Buenos Aires not Madrid.

Smart way to location use...
If as a production crew member you decide to shoot the Argentina locations in Argentina, you put a dyke on the next Argentinian landscape production. It will be distractive for the Argentinian audience. People would be distracted, for instance, after a year of seeing this movie if they see another Argentina located movie. If both of the movies are from Argentina production companies, the second production team won't be satisfied with the low gross revenue. People find it distractive if they see the same location in every other movie. That's why they shoot their premised locations scenes within their similar look locations.

This is rather different and hard in the big budget productions for example, a 007 Bond sequel. 'Cause they make aggrements and contracts all over the world, they rent fake but explosive weapons from Russia, they find laser cut wrist watches from Switzerland, they rent an army training field in Malaysia. Then if they go to Russia, they must say in the movie that scene is for example is in Alaska. If they shoot a murder scene in Switzerland, they must say for example it's Northern Ireland. Mostly they use the large army training fields in Malaysia and say in the movie that it's Vietnam.
They must obey this liar rule. Every country has several film production companies, and use of those locations are under their contract or right.

There must be some procedures and policies using film locations abroad through international trade and law organizations, in my opinion. Well, obviously, how else they can solve this issue? You can't just go anywhere in the world to shoot a film and making a full revenue out of it.

Kinda old thread, but I've just watched the movie, I am from Argentina and I can assure you that's the real Buenos Aires and Tierra del Fuego.
