Sorry for this essay response. Its unlike me. But it covers a lot of season 9 the hosts and season 7. I just had to get it all out. Read through it if you have the patience, its probably all said before but I'm new to show. All replies appreciated.
I completely agree. Even with your spoilers. As its been months since it totally finished, I'm gonna presume if your on here, you've seen it so I'm not gonna put spoiler tags...
That girl you mentioned, definitely out of her range. I think Jennifer Hudson picked her herself with out help, unless it was public vote. But either way it makes sense cause I don't see Jennifer being the best model seeker.. Sara O'hare/Muroch would have known better aswell as that other host just before her. However I do love Jennifer Hudson on this. She is the best host so far...
I just didn't like Jean Paul Gaultier. He is such a sycophant. And when he offered the job to Brittany, I just knew she'd come second or first at that point. I guess it saves them credibility, it gave Brittany that extra edge, unless (and it probably was) that she was chosen as the winner very early on. And JPG just booked her during the process for the television hype and for her surprise.
I don't remember them all now, its been so long. But my order of top 3 in "Top Model" preference:
Alex (she was a great model. She was experience and it showed. She knew things during the show that only a working model would know. And she was a great model, catwalk and still shots. I think they discredited her because of that, and a little because of her attitude at the start, which was a pity, because she totally lost the attitude in the last 5 episodes) I think its unfair she didn't win. Cause she knew a lot more than the other 2. She was runway ready.
Lucy (She was amazing. Great attitude, great look. And he photo's were amazing as like Alex. I think the only reason they didn't pick her cause she is way too young to start at that level. Travelling the world at 16 is extremely daunting and probably difficult for her in some countries laws, not to mention our own)
Brittany (Worthwhie winner, but you could see she was gonna be in top 2 from early on)

Lucy (she is hot hot hot. And at such a young age she showed so much maturity and was able to handle it all, I just loved most of her photo's. I picked her on episode 2)
Alex (as like above. She go so much flack for her attitude, but seriously that is exactly what real working models are like if not worse, she was smart enouh to knew just was not what the show wanted, she either tamed it down or she would have left earlier. Most other contestants would have kept the attitude and would have been sent home before their time, she was smart enough to give what producers wanted.)
I really wasn't into this show. I have seen "all" of American version and love it. The production is so much better. I was flicking through the stations when I stopped at this Season 9 and the one episode was really good, so I d/l'd from the start and loved it. Then I d/l'd all the past seasons. Now all I have to watch is season 6 and 8.
I'm watching season 7 now and it is so absolutely crap. The production is terrible. It was the season Montana won. And they had a double elimination every other week. It was so clear from the second episode Montana was going to win. I think the major investors like the agents from Australiu and America saw one photo of her and demanded she to win, and that old lady from Harpers Bizarre made the same point, so they rushed through just to give her the prize. But it ruined the show. Not only did it show how contrived it was, it was unfair. Even though I agree for Montana to win, They never gave them the opportunity they deserved. Even if they'd come second or third, the more photo shoots they done the bigger their portfolio and more variation to have better pictures to show for future opportunities. Very upsetting. I'm up to about the 4th last episode and am finding it hard to get back to it. I think Brittany was even better than Montana. Montana had a very average look. But her face and facial bone structure was made for photo modelling.
