How did Alice die? Was she stabbed?

She was hit by the surrogate mother in a fight but I don't think she was killed.

Dang it! Have you ever heard of the word "spoiler"? Or at the very least the common misspelling of it, "spolier"? ;-)

Did you not see the smiley I put with my post? I now barely remember Rival (2006) but do know that not knowing whether Alice died or not in the film enhanced my interest in it.

The movie is called The Rival, not Rival. Is there any particular reason why you put the red spoiler lettering over "died or not?" You said "died or not." Nothing was spoiled, genius.
