like a new original series episode

I've only just seen this film and I gotta say it was suprisingly good, sure it doesnt have full production value but it did feel alot like the original series, which works considering the characters used, wich made for some strange nostalgia even tho its new (ish).

Looking forward to there new production, its also nice to see actors who actually have a love for the franchise and not just doin it for the paycheck.

Awsome little film and great little nod to the original series.

It was worth watching just to see Chase Masterson as an Orion slave girl.

What I liked about it was that after 40 years it finally gave Nichelle Nichols something to do! And she's a better actress than I gave her credit for.

I like the FX. Some of the ship designs were interesting. I actually like the Constitution class ships painted with red accents.

As for the writing? Yeah. About that. Not so good. I liked the notion of Gary Mitchell and Charlie X fighting it out, and I thought the actors who played them looked remarkably like older versions of Robert Walker and Gary Lockwood. But even if I excuse some major plot holes and lapses in logic, the climatic fight scene was, in a word, anticlimactic.

BTW. Before posting this I was looked them up and was pleasantly surprised to find that Walker and Lockwood are still around. I had actually thought that both had passed away.
