Mike Catherwood is NO Dylan Lane...

I regret to say that that I used to take "Chain Reaction" (2006) for granted. After watching the 2015 reboot of the show on GSN, now hosted by Mike Catherwood, I realize how much fun the (2006) version was and still is. Dylan knew just how to interact with the goofball contestants. Mike Catherwood is boring, the changes to the show itself, and the people who now cast the contestants, make Catherwood and the contestants less than interesting. I miss the old final round, which usually consisted of clueless male jocks or frat friends, or clueless female mall shoppers, making fools of themselves, trying to construct questions for words that one would think an average fifth grader would know. Koala (pass), White House (pass), North Pole (pass), you get the idea. But, for the most part, it was Dylan Lane who made the show work. He had a way of sincerely looking at the camera, and letting us at home know that both he and we are aware that these people should each have a copy of "Game Shows For Dummys" in their pockets, but WITHOUT in any way insulting them. I really like the theme episodes, like teachers against students. I sit there and wonder how any of those teachers was graduated from an accredited learning institution (and again, the looks on Dylan's face as the teachers show that the students should have prepped them before they came on this show and debased themselves) Bring back the second season format, with Dylan Lane as the host, and loads of airhead contestants, and the show will be an instant hit.

I agree with your post. My son and I feel they should have at least brought Dylan back even though the show has changed its format a bit. I can't even watch 5 minutes of the new show

regardless of host, the show sucked. they gave away very little money and the contestants were morons
