A PLUMM SUMMER Screenwriter Says Thanks!

Thank you to the previous posters for their kind reviews. This is a film the cast and crew are all very proud of. Please everyone, PASS THE WORD to everyone on you email lists about this film! We need to do good numbers if we hope to open wider. And thanks for supporting A PLUMM SUMMER. TJ Lynch

I'm happy to do so.
My staff thought I was nuts when I would mention Froggy Doo. Now with the movie, I finally have PROOF of my beloved talking frog.

I do hope they will be able to bring it to Milwaukee. Maybe my staff and co-workers will be able to see the lovely time I grew up in, where the adult trials were not part of my life. Even if we did know David Mierhofer.

Thanks for the Movie, sir. The parts I have been able to see have been heartwarming.

I singled out the acting in my review, but as we learned during the recent strike, without writers, actors have nothing to say or do. Please forgive the omission and accept my thanks for a very sweet story. I made a point to see it three times during its one-week run in Los Angeles. It only improved with repeated viewings.

And I was serious about a sequel focusing on Chris Kelly's and Morgan Flynn's characters. Those two had great chemistry and you perfectly captured the time and the age. With the internet, kids today are so sophisticated; I don't know that they can even appreciate what a thrill it was just to hold hands when you were in junior high.

Thanks so much for writing it! I haven't seen it yet - just found out about it last week - but as a Billings kid growing up in the 60s, I have fond memories of Happy Herb and Froggy Doo and remember the kidnapping very well. I'm totally excited to see this (even if it was filmed around Bozeman instead of Billings). Here's hoping it gets a run in Seattle.

This movie is two things to me...

First, fun and entertaining.

Second, an example of a film that is unforced, unpretentious, knows its own mind,
and succeeds in telling a complete story while creating the feel of a time and place.

Any filmmakers that spend MULTIPLES of the budget needed for Plumm Summer need to check themselves. Did that money go for needed ingredients (visible on screen) or did it go to MAKE UP FOR A LACK of talent/planning/vision?

I just saw this movie, TJ, and if anyone should be thanked, it is you and Chris Massoglia and everyone else involved in the production of this gem!

My name is Colin Creevey
