Justin Mentell (Ryan) and Eve Brent (Grandma) have both died...

I was looking at the movie's IMDb page, and I was really saddened to hear that both Justin Mentell and Eve Brent have died since the movie's release (aged 27 and 81, respectively). What a strange coincidence considering their roles in the film.

VERY sad, wonderful performances in this movie, checked it out the other night. Recommend it.
