Not quite sure what you are looking for, but Outside Providence is a decent movie about a few high schoolers in the 70s. It is nothing like the typical high school comedy.

Christine from 1983 is about some high schoolers, it's a scary stephen king movie, so not so much feel good, but definitely an awesome movie that aged well.

Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead is great, it will make you feel good.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Ferris Buellers Day off from the 80s are decent, sure you have heard of those and seen them most likely.

Just Friends and Road Trip make me feel good. The Faculty is a good 90s high school scary movie. I like all these movies I mentioned. Plenty more, but I tried to choose ones with students as main characters.



I forgot to add Dead Man on Campus. That's a badass movie too.

Watch "The Myth of the American Sleepover." Very much like this movie.

I'd recommend "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
Has the exact same feel to it!
