Airing on Cinemax on 1/8? Where is the theatrical release?

I don't know why this didn't get a theatrical release or why it's airing on cable at something like 4 AM. It's a great film. Not my favorite from Sundance, but still a fascinating film worthy of a larger audience. I hope this at least gets a dvd release soon. Anyone know if there are plans for it?

This Cinemax entry refers to a different film--a Chilean movie that used the same spanish title. The "Padre Nuestro" (Our Father) (Sundance Winner) will be coming out in theaters in the US (distributed by IFC) this spring and will be released in theaters in Mexico next month.

Right you are. I tivo'd it on Time Warner Cable where the film description was that of the Sundance winner. "Boy goes to Brooklyn in search of his father but has his identity stolen." But that was a mistake. It was some other film, which made me happy because that means this great film isn't destined to make its debut on cable at 4am. So I'm very happy to see it has a theatrical release this March. It deserves it.

Actually they are showing the traier on the previews of the movies in Cinepolis, i think u're mexican

On IFC it's named "Sangre De Mi Sangre" and not "Padre Nuestra"

What world the world be if people weren't out making themselves better citizens?

They movie was on HBOSpanish, thank god I saw this film, its great.
