Normally I will not comment on a film I haven’t viewed and admittedly have not sat through this one. However a number of persons whose opinions I respect claim this to be the “worst film they have ever seen,” and not just as a figure of speech, but literally: “the worst EVER.” Rather a bold statement, comments?

You coped with 45 minutes? What were you thinking? The acting was just impossible to watch, I wouldn't be surprised if the film editor left after 10 minutes... .. .
Far from a great horror film, it's not the worst film ever.
It's got some good scares and an interesting story line with good background on the history of Alcatraz.
True, most of the actors aren't too good, but it's a low budget film.

Those are the "top" 5 worst horror films I've seen. I've been able to stomache this flick more than those above.

I cannot agree it is the worst film ever, but will say, never has a film had so much potential to have been so much better. The film should be remade with better actors, better budget for the story has merit.
