for me, it did all the things a Good b movie should do ....let you see the monster more than once ... "good" bad acting ..."good" plastic gore...A few good jokes, and some "good ol' boys" w/guns.
I am sure it is not for every one , but I thought it was fun

This isn't a 'B' movie, it's a 'C' flick being that it's a spare-change Indie that only cost $40,000.
But, you're right, it is good for what it is. As long as viewers can appreciate micro-budget affairs, it delivers the goods; except for the showdown with the creature, which has some problems. Other than that, I felt like I knew the main characters and cared about them and their relationships. And the creature looked formidable; not to mention there's some quality gore.
