Wow. Talk about a quiet board. Dont even know if its worth posting this.

Anyway, I only saw this once, years ago, when the sci-Fi channel was showing various anime programs and movies late at night.

There was one thing about the ending that puzzled me. It was hinted that Isabelle and Goemen had had a prior relationship, and that Michael was actually their son, though Goemen had been unaware of it till Isabelle pointed this out, prior to her death.

Did I get the wrong end of the stick there, or was that accurate? My recollection is really fuzzy.

For what it's worth, yes. She says makes a comment about the way Michael speaks in Riddles like Goemon does, and that she knew him years ago, but he had forgotten. Alluding that Michael is his son.

Deal with it.
