Lycans Vs. Werewolves

Technically the species depicted in this series are "Werewolves," not Lycans. Lycans are a much older species from Greek times. Werewolves are a simplified race that isn't cursed and doesn't have thousands of years of history.

In order to be a true "Lycan," you have to be a cursed descendant of Lycaon of Arcadia. The history of the Werewolves in this series of movies doesn't go back even remotely that far. The "father" of the Vampires and Werewolves depicted in this movie has absolutely no relation to Lycaon.
