Who is Amelia? your ideas?

So, i wonder whe Amelia is. May be anyone who read the books could answer the question, or you have your theories?

She was one of the 3 elders from the first movie. Do you mean before she was a vamp?

I think he means before. I imagine her as pretty much a noble woman who nursed Marcus through his change and was basically the first person Marcus bit that survived.

I just posted a comment on another post and I mentioned Amelia. I remarked that a fourth film that picks up from the end of "Rise" to the capture of William would be good. You would probably see more of Amelia.

It seems it will pick up after UWE. Keep fingers crossed there will be flashbacks to Amelia's reigns.

Yes, I am hoping for flashbacks of Amelia as it seems we won't be getting her story. I heard a few years back that Zita Gorog said she quit acting. (I think she had a baby or something. She may have just meant an acting hiatus.) I wonder how she feels now? I'd love for her to return for this one movie.

Even if we don't get Zita Görög, I would love for there to be mentions of what she was up to during her reigns. And what her relationship was to Selene. If we look at the Chain, Selene spent more time under Amelia's rule than either of the other Elders!

Really? That is interesting. Then there has to be something to that. Maybe there will be more Amelia after all.

You're most welcome. Also there was her visiting the New World Coven and the two covens coming together once again. What was the deal there?

I thought she ran the American coven. She was just visiting? Interesting. This is changing my views on the movies and I thought I paid pretty good attention to the dialogue. The New World Coven... Where was it based anyway? Canada? U.S.? Caribbean? Brazil? Other?

Well, when I say "visiting" I'm just covering my bases. It's very possible she ran it but her envoy says "we will once again be united as a single coven" which (to me anyway) implies there was a split in government at some point which has now been repaired. That's just my take on the meaning of one small clue, of course.

According to the novelization (which is just 'semi-canon' compared to the movies) they left for Europe from New York.

Seeing as Underworld 4 will pick up after Underworld: Evolution I doubt we will be seeing more of Amelia..if they decided to F it up after that and finally do one going into detail about Kraven and Lucian's deal then we will probably see more of Amelia.

We've got:

Marcus - who was a noble but focused mainly on saving his brother and cleaning up the damage William caused
Viktor - a warlord who is very strong in terms of military power
Amelia - I've always guessed that she had a lot of power in politics. Sure, she was physically capable of fighting (as seen in Underworld Evolution), but I've always got the feeling that her expertise was in dealing with political matters. So Marcus went to Viktor mainly for military power and then to Amelia for help with reversing William's damage(?) Maybe she was a princess/queen or extra-powerful noble?

I've always hated the way Amelia was pushed to the sidelines. She's a Vampire Elder! We got a lot of focus on the other two. Why is she being given so little story and characterization?

I also hated how she died so easily! She should've survived her blood being drained! After all, Viktor and Marcus were both dried up corpses when they awoke in the first movie!

Also, doesn't anybody find it strange that her only line in the entire series is, "More!"

This is spoken in Underworld: Evolution's flashback when William is getting captured.

Not much was ever revealed about her. She was one of the elders, we know that, but that's really all we ever got, even from the books (which I read). Marcus was the son of Corvinus, Viktor was a powerful warlord that Marcus turned to help him catch William, but Amelia... nothing. Maybe she and Marcus were once involved with each other. Or perhaps she was the heir or something and had an army at her disposal, like Viktor, so Marcus recruited her for the same purpose. We don't know. Maybe the new movie will reveal some of her background.
