Question about Leslie leaving Donnie

I was a little confused about Leslie trying to convert the younger girl into a prostitute. Was she planning on joining the prostitute ring as well? Because when Donnie confronted Cooper asking where Leslie was, Cooper said she wanted to go. But what did he mean by that, go where? And was she really not planning on going back to find Donnie, that is before she realized she had been abducted.

Occasionally that guy hooked her up w/ drugs and clients or a place to sleep or food. this is why she was trying to convert the young girl to be a prostitute. seems like the guy wanted her to join his ring full time tho.

Cooper made it out like Leslie wanted to go to somewhere else to move up in the world. to get away from Donnie. because he was "deadweight". a real hassle to take care of. of course we know Leslie would never do that. but it's heartbreaking seeing Donnie's reaction.

I think she always planned on finding Donnie. she realized she didn't fit in with her family. she wasn't a little girl anymore. her innocence was taken forever. she was alienated from them. all she knows is how to be a prostitute. I like to think she and Donnie met up in Florida at the end.

Me too, but the logistics are difficult. It's a big park, and they didn't say "the first of every month" or anything like that.

Exactly, she is never the same. She would not be able to live with her family.

From what I understood, the girl didn't want to have a love relationship with the boy as she considereded him like her brother.
And the other things just helped her to make up her mind.

The Director should have ended the movie with a gift for the spectator after having to watch so dense slow movie,
