Colin's accent

I just finished watching Celebration and want to know about the accent that Colin used. What part of England would he have come from to speak with that accent? Also, what is a nouse?

Thanks

With that accent Colin's character would have been from London. And nous (correct spelling)is common sense.

I thought the way he spoke in BJD, TEOR, and WAGW was a British accent from London. I didn't know that some Londoners spoke that way. Perhaps his character was supposed to sound drunk and argumentative and therefore sounded as he did. When CF speaks as himself, is that also a London accent? Thanks.

The accent you hear in films such as BJD and WAGW is Colin's normal accent. The one he takes on in Celebration is a London accent (and it's also detectable in Fever Pitch), although he probably was tipsey, and definitely arguementative. When Colin speaks as himself, his voice and accent are no different from what you hear in the majority of his films. Colin has a rather neutral accent (there are much more stronger accents, from across the UK, than his) - he's from Hampshire and occasionally speaks as such. Apparently when he was at drama school he was taught to speak as he does now. He once did a radio interview where he was asked about his Hampshire accent and he demonstrated a little, and he sounded a little more rural.
