Remake of Fever Pitch

Its probably going to be a lousy remake of the original Fever Pitch for 2 reasons
1.Bollywood sucks at making remakes of hollywood films
2.It has Chelsea in it.
Have some respect filmakeRs and atleast base it on the real team ur copying the movie from
Arsenalllllllll
Shud have made based on Arsenal would have been much better n the michael thomas
ohh no1 cud have ever scripted that straight outta a movie

A matter of opinion. I've seen quite a few Hindi films where the original concept was taken from a Hollywood film, and made even better. Hindi film makers are good at taking a Hollywood bomb and making it into a good Hindi film.

Taxi No. 9211 was better than Changing Lanes . More character development , better action scenes , better dialogue .

Omkara might have been an "adaptation" . But Taxi was clearly a rip-off and was better than the original .

Also reminds me of the film HAWKS with Timothy Dalton and Antony Andrews/Edwards (the doctor in ER)...

Sadly, Indian film viewers have double standards when it comes to hollywood rip-offs. No one said anything when Black was copied from Hollywood's Miracle Worker. Why? Just because it was a Sanjay Leela Bansali film and all of you are obliged to like his film because he's a high-brow director.

In the end you must not forget, it's just a chic hip n happening, peppy n trendy film that cashes in on the popularlity of soccer in India. See, in India soccer is considered a high society game and some people just follow it even when they don't know much about it just to show they have a high taste.

That isn't entirely true. Black was a good film, not generic and wannabe like most remakes. And so was Devdas. Perhaps people can come to trust a name that has delivered good movies before but they would know a bad movie nomatter the director.

Indian audiences have a different sensibility than American audiences but they sure as hell know the difference between a good and a bad movie. If a small director had made a remake and if it was a good one, it would be appreciated too.
Like with Salaam Namaste - it was a remake which didnt take itself too seriously and audiences enjoy that.

You cannot judge Indian audiences by what you 'think' their sensibility is. See their preferences and tastes - They have definitely evolved immensely over the years.
And the fact that they are ok with remakes might be shocking but it's the best chance of "cinematic evolution" they've got. They need to ape better movies first in order to come up with better movies on their own. It's the way of life.

i came across your comment and seriously it made me laugh. comments like that should not make me laugh, but you did.
1st of all i would like to say that bollywood have some of the most exciting up comers the world has seen in a while and some of them are breaking into the hollywood movies which is great.
and secondly id like to ask you if you have been following the great game of english football for the past last year. if you have can you please answer me what have arsenal actually won apart from a f.a cup, in which they had no shots on target through out the whole match. it was a joke. in fact the whole of arsenal team are a joke. ashley cole realised that and distanced himself from them before it was too late. and the only reason people speak highly of arsenal now days is because of tiery henry. if it wasnt for him people wont even bother selling arsenal merchandise. just to sum that up for you, in short words, arsenal are crap. thank you for taking your time to read this.

P.S i am not a chelsea fan.

Remakes have become a genre of their own and "boring" none the less. The original poster probably had enough of watching flimsy plots that are dragged longer to fill the 2hr+ mark with nothing really to enjoy.

How is bollywood or any Indian cinema for that matter really showing promise when all they do is remake every movie that is made in the western world in one shape or the other.

Also I like the music for this movie but the concept of 2 people with different love interests meeting and falling in love is a being over-worked I think. Yash Raj films seem to use that mantra in each and every film of theirs. Give it a rest already......

If they can't write innovative stories, put the pen down and go do another profession like the rest of us, don't force these remakes and act like you are doing us any favor.....

If this is true, the better check your recources.

Fever Pitch? How in the world is JBJ anywhere related to Fever Pitch? I agree with rheaisgreat... check your sources ... =]

This movie is nothing like Fever Pitch so this claim is a complete fabrication. At least watch both movies before making such absurd claims!
