There's only three freaking threads on this board
Are you frakin kidding me?
I was hoping there was some talk about a live action movie in the future here.

Do you think there should be a live action Zelda movie?
shareThere should be something more to the effect of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It would preserve the fantasy aspect of the franchise, I think.
Not everything has to be live action after all.

Absolutely
These characters and games are pop culture icons that have stood the test of time, makes me wonder why Nintendo hasn't capitalized on anything like that recently. I'd love a cgi movie ala FF7-AC but I'd even take an anime OVA.
I think Zelda would lend itself to live-action better than Super Mario did but I think animation is a much better way to go.
Legend of Zelda could possibly even make itself into an epic movie, similar to Lord of the Rings of Chronicles of Narnia.... that would be cool!
shareA movie with the atmosphere of "Zelda: Ocarina of time", and we have a new entrant on the top 25 list.
shareTen years ago, I would have thought that Legend of Zelda would have made for an excellent film. Today, I see that Miyamoto wanted Legend of Zelda to be overly cartoonish and that the special effects of the era would not allow for all of the goofy antics he had hoped for. (Supposedly, The Wind Waker was what Legend of Zelda's creator had hoped for the series to be all along.)
If handled correctly though, I agree that a film adaptation of a story like Ocarina of Time would be excellent.
I can't believe no one is talking about a pile of crap show that was on for 3 weeks 23 years ago!!!
shareZelda's move suited for animation. It's almost like trying to make a live-action movie based off of manga characters. It might come off as a bit ridiculous. Not saying it can't be done, but still...
sharenow it's four
sharePeter Jackson would be perfect for the Zelda world !!
