Looks and personality-April

April. They had the best chemistry.

Summer never fell out of love with the professor. Not a good sign, as he was a pig.

I thought Emily was nothing more than the "college sweetheart" and who knows exactly how their marriage developed/came to be after re-uniting at Summer's party. I'm not surprised that they ended up getting a divorce. I thought Emily lacked personality the most out of the three women, so I'm not really sure why Will was attracted to her (other than her looks).

Summer was a free-spirit and had a great personality, but I think the relationship between she and Will was more based on lust and friendship rather than a true romance. I'm glad she was able to see the error of her ways (writing that second article), which ultimately led to the end of their relationship. But it's good to see that they reformed their friendship.

I think Will's relationship with April was great! They began as friends, although from the beginning, I think they could both feel a stronger attraction. But instead of diving in, they formed a solid friendship based on mutual respect, intelligent conversation and humor. IMO those make for the best foundations of a lasting relationship and they grew to love each other deeply. I'm glad they ended up together and that, while Maya was upset her parents were divorced, she could see that April was the true love of her father's life and that they should be together.

I think this is a very thought-provoking question. I'm not a guy but I can tell you which one of the three women I liked the most.
Without a doubt, that woman is April. I thought she had a terrific personality. She was always so happy and positive, she had a wonderful sense of humor and she was absolutely gorgeous. What guy wouldn't want her?
The person I liked second best was Summer. Summer is also incredible looking with a great personality, but throughout the movie, it seemed like her feelings for Hampton were stronger than those she had for Will.

That's something else I noticed throughout the movie, the fact that Will seemed to love whole-heartedly while the women in his life were more ambivalent. April was different, though. For a while, she was completely insane about him while he was clueless. But maybe that's why they made such a great couple in the end, the two of them could be completely head-over-heels for one another and know that their feelings are returned one hundred percent.

Back to what I was saying about Summer,I was pretty angry at her for writing that article although I do understand her reasoning. On the one hand, she felt as though she were compromising her principles by not digging into this politician's past because she would be making trouble for her boyfriend if she dug too hard. But on the other hand, she didn't seem to have a problem with her article until after she spoke with Hampton. Because she only wrote a follow-up article after her talk with Hampton, it seems to me that she chose him over Will.
As for Emily, I felt that she was definitely the least-developed of all the women. She was the college sweetheart, and that was all we ever really knew about her. She seemed like a sweet girl and she was very pretty but I felt that Will only wanted to marry her because it was part of his "plan." The two of them didn't have intense attraction and chemistry the way he and Summer did, and they have chemistry and a strong friendship the way he and April do, what they did have was history. But Emily was right; that's not enough to base a marriage on. It wouldn't have worked the first time he asked, and it didn't work the second time either. I think it was a stroke of genius on the screenwriter's part to have Maya realize that her parents don't belong together, during that scene when Emily almost strokes Will's hair then stops herself. Too many children blame themselves for their parents' divorce instead of realizing that parents are people too and people's feelings change.
So overall, this was a great movie! Will definitely made the right choice in the end, he and April were made for each other.

It's not who I am underneath, but what I *do* that defines me.

I enjoyed this movie so much because it ended up perfectly.

Emily (Sarah) was right to be the little girl's mom... but ending up with April was even better!
