I've yet to see this movie as I'm in UK, but I'd go on the strength of the music alone! It's by awesome electronica band PLAID and is stunning, I imagine this sound mixed with awesome visuals is gonna be the highlight of 2007 for me! ... er where's the freakin' UK release date?!?!
I was deeply moved by the movie, and the soundtrack had alot to do with it. It's one hell of a movie, and one hell of a soundtrack on top of that. I can't recommend it enough.

it was remarkable.. and yes, the music played a major part. Anime tends to have great music projects that go along with the picture.

It's the most incredible music I've heard in a long time, and it fits perfectly into the movie.

This soundtrack is fantastic but I can't find anywhere to actually buy it.
I especially love the opening scene and the very last bit (with the apple 'tree').

FYI: Plaid have also provided the score for Heaven's Door, by the same director as this. Old news (sort of) but just in case any other Plaid fans want to check it out. It's good.

Does anyone know the song the comes in at around the 12 minute mark in the movie? Unless I am very much mistaken it doesnt appear on the soundtrack which is disappointing as it is a pretty cool little tune.
