I understand the hate, I just don't share it

Personally, I found this movie to be immensely entertaining. Perhaps not for the reason it was intended, but I laughed through a lot of it and found the action to be wonderful, if not poorly done.

However, I completely get the hate for it, since I haven't had the pleasure of reading the Spirit comics. I've always meant to, but never have. So, without any source material to base it off of, this movie feels like a fantastic superhero movie parody done by one of my favourite comic writers.
