howlingly funny...unintention ally

it would be a great movie to rent for halloween - just for laughs. favorite horrible part??? well, for me it would be a tie between the moment when April - the frient - yanks open the shower curtain to reveal.....a broom closet and the scenes where the girls are supposed to be at their retail store jobs and it is clear they are in the gift shop of the museum they are filming in. postcards of the rooms are on sale! anyone else want to pick good "bad" moments?

So many choices...

-the ghost father's monotone voice, popping up out of nowhere and unenthusiastic hammering were hilarious
-the ghost cat disappearing
-when the wife smacks her husband upside the head on the porch
-the way everyone said "Huh?!?" when they were confused (which was quite often)
-the director yelling "Cut!" at the end of one scene
-the three seconds or so of total blackness every time a scene ended (way to increase your running time)
-the ghost mother in her clothes from last century (which immediately give away that she was a ghost)
-the repetitive 'Halloween' rip-off piano music
-the scene "deep in the woods" (as you hear cars drive by)
-the way the voices are slightly off-sync with the actors

Only the (semi-)competent sound and camerawork keep this from being as bad as 'Ax 'Em'.

My favourite line: Husband says, in complete earnestness, he's going to go out and talk to "the USED HOUSE SALESMAN." ROFLMAO!!

Dumb "nig?" Maybe cracks shouldn't write reviews. ;-)

Hell, maybe the joke was on all of us and the humour WAS intentional and we all watched a spoof without realizing it.

'Nother thing - wouldn't want to go without Spike Lee's contributions to modern cinema now, would we, brostman?

Apart from directing 25th hour, Spike Lee is an overrated hack. I said it. BICH WUT.
