Godzilla doesn't feel tangible in this movie

Dare I say it, even the 1998 Godzilla felt more like a real tangible creature causing destruction and mayhem. This may be due to practical effects being used in the 98 version but given the 16 year advancement in CGI, that's not really an excuse. For the most part, the Godzilla scenes just felt like highly detailed video game cut scenes.
