6.5 Rating Now? Seriously?

LOL you are about as funny as this movie was.

I am not sure what to make of a 6.5 rating I liked it overall HOWEVER even with the um I think grandson of the original scientist who well let's just say his research was meant to die with him as being the only way to kill the first. having watched more than my fair share of the 32 there is AT LEAST one exception to what the person said about godzilla being on screen for no more than 20 minutes and that was godzilla vs the smog monster aka hedorah they fought FIVE TIMES it also holds the record for how many times godzilla and another kaiju have fought HOWEVER what is called "human drama" is 9 times out of time meant to just fill time but this film has a bit too much of it for my taste and in a lot of cases i would call it outright human stupidity sorry about the spoiler but using NUKE to take out creatures that both FEED(the M.U.T.Os) and are born of radition(godzilla) basically says HEY YOU WANT A ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET WE DELIEVER!!!! :P but i felt the human drama/stupidity WAS TOO FOCUSED ON to the detriment of what we came to see. they PULLED AWAY FROM THE KAIJU FIGHTING to focus on the humans now if you want to do this while big G is underwater and swimming towards land HEY THAT'S COOL or while the other kaijus are making their way to the "arena" that cool too HOWEVER once both are even in the locale of the "arena" it's time to focus on the kaiju AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and YES bring out the special FX it is a godzilla film sorry but "depth" to the detriment of action???it lost its voice as a big G film when the humans were focused on too much.on the topic of the creature who has become known as ZILLA sorry again for the spoiler but in final wars as part of operation final war big G came to Sydney and zilla was 'ported in and the fight lasted all of maybe 30 seconds if that. it went simply Zilla 'ported in and in some sort of spinning motion(hey gots make it look cool huh? :P) zilla jumps at big G ducks turning around with a tail smack into the opera house and well zilla sees that bad breath can kill :P sorry zilla fans it is likely to never be seen again. as for the opera house don't worry the can build another right? :P but on a more serious note Godzilla films have NEVER been known for deep storytelling and frankly they shouldn't be that is not why we big G fans are there.

6.5 is not a "bad" movie rating. It's a mediocre movie rating.

Frankly, I find 6.5 to be overly generous.
