i only started watching this show today (a cake walk). i was just flicking through the channels and i saw on the tv listings, 'cake'. and it said it was a kids show. i took a look at it and i thought....what kind of name is 'cake'? how'd she get that name?
the jokes are corny and the set kinda reminds me of that's so raven...
What kind of a name was 'Blossom', or 'Six'?
Isn't 'George' a boy's name? Why was the girl on 'Dead Like Me' named that?

What's wrong with the name Blossom? Little unconventional but other people are named after flowers and such Daisy, Rose, Violet etc. I don't see Blossom as being that unusual. Georege is a nick name for Georgia and I would assume 6 is also a nick name. Cake on the other hand is the only name we know for this character. If it was just a cute nick name that would be different but so far as we know Cake is her actual name.
shareWell, she looks kind of like a hippie, maybe her family are filled with flower children or something and they just gave her that name. I heard in the 60's strange names wre sometimes given to children of hippies.

yeah the jokes were kinda corny the few times I watched it..
but I guess its a good show (compared to some other crap) for younger kids, probably girls, to watch..and its a clean show so I guess parents would like that.

Maybe it's because she wants more from life than she can handle or deserve. In other words, she wants to have her cake and eat it too.
I Love how everyone else normal first and last names and her name is just... Cake. Like whaT? Haha
