anyone know if her character is American? Has she ever played English before?

yes she played an english before - in "churchill: the hollywood years" and in the upcoming movie "partition"
but i don´t know if she´s playing an american in this one - sorry.

Neve does play an American in this film, but obviously she is actually Canadian. There is actually a reference to her nationality in the film and her character is definitely American and not Canadian.
