Gao Ling = Avatar: The Last Airbender reference?

According to this site, Dion Basco plays Gao Ling. If you watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, then you probably know that one of the starring characters, Toph Bei Fong, the blind Earthbender that is teaching Aang Earthbending, is from the Earth Kingdom city of Gaoling.

AND, Dion is the brother of Dante Basco, who also provides the voice of a starring character, Prince Zuko.

Do you think this was meant to be a shout-out to Avatar?

That's pretty awesome...I'm watching it on tv now, and I wouldn't have picked up on that, but that's really cool.

James Hong also voiced a monk in 'Avatar'...saw that episode today.
